When contrasting the characters in William Shakespeares Hamlet to Disney’s The Lion King, they are different. Hamlet is a play about Hamlet trying to get revenge on his uncle for killing his father. The Lion King is a movie about a lion who runs away from his fathers death and comes back to save the kingdom from his evil uncle. When specifically looking at Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and Timon and Pumbaa they are different in that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are greedy, untrustworthy, and uncaring, while timon and Pumbaa are the opposite. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, and Timon and Pumbaa are very different, one difference is one pair is greedy while the other is selfless. This quote proves they are untrustworthy because they are talking to the King and Queen about what Hamlet has said. The constantly repeat things Hamlet has said to the King and Queen like puppets. By doing this they break the trust they have built and they don’t care. Hamlet probably expected that they would keep the information between them however when they don’t it gives them a deceitful appearance. In contrast, Timon and Pumbaa are very reliable, for instance they put themselves in danger for Simba when they dress in hula outfits to cause a distraction. They did this because they knew they should do it as good friends to Simba, even though it puts them in harms way. They want was is best for Simba and that is to help get rid of Scar. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are giving information to the King and Queen that they know Hamlet wouldn’t want them to say, betraying their friendship, while Timon and Pumbaa are there for Simbaa helping their friend out with whatever he may need.
